Web design
Any website in a crowded media world needs a striking design to make it a strong, coherent online brand and identity. The design also needs to take into account the changing social media world we now live in, work in different formats and be happy on a variety of sites from Twitter to YouTube and Facebook.
What process do you follow?
The process we follow to create an online design identity has been honed through the years to become an effective one. This is outline in more detail below but always starts off with a project kick off meeting that covers all the key questions we need to ask. Part of starting our relationship with you is discovering exactly what you are trying to do with your website and what drives you business. Are you trying to increase sales? Are you trying to effectively represent your organisation online or create and grow a community?
Once we have worked out your aims and goals for the website, it is then transformed into a mood board, containing colours, fonts, logos and layouts, explaining the different directions this identity can take. After taking feedback on this, we create a first look of a design, then revise it through two subsequent rounds to arrive at a final design which can be signed off and implemented.
Our Content Management System
Usually, we implement our web designs with our content management system called VEBO, an easy and low-cost way of adding, editing and deleting pages and other parts of your website. Find out more about VEBO now. We also offer custom web development if you would like your site to have any custom features not available in VEBO currently.
Getting your website design live is only really the start of the process however and the beginning of your relationship with Big Orange. We will work with you, reviewing your website along the way, working out what changes might need to be made and seeing if you can make effective use of our other services (such as e-mail newsletters, SMS campaigns or mobile development). Every now and again, we will let you know about trends and patterns in the online world too, to see if they apply to your business and keep you up to speed with all the latest developments.
