Search Engine Optimisation
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the process of optimising your website pages so that it appears higher up in the search engine results, such as Google, for chosen keywords.
Why is this important for your website?
- website visitors associate a high Google ranking with a high quality brand
- the higher up the results your site is, the greater the chance that visits will convert to sales
- 84% of searchers never reach the third pages of search results
- it has been discovered that the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Google results get 79% of all clicks
- your competitors may well be using SEO services so might be found first over you
What does SEO work involve?
To improve the visibility of your website in search engines such as Google, we first of all carry out an audit of your website and check how well it is placed in the results pages for certain keywords. We can then advise you what changes will need to be made to your site to affect your ranking, for the search engines to pick up next time they visit your website.
How often do I need to do SEO?
The harsh reality of doing business online is that things can change very quickly and your SEO needs to keep up with this. We can work with you and review your SEO every month or two to see your site is performing. Typically, we would recommend a six month campaign to start with as search engines can take some time to rescan your website and register the improvements that we have made.
What is Pay Per Click (PPC)?
Part of SEO work might involve the targeted use of Pay Per Click advertising. This is where you can pay the search engines such as Google a small fee to display your advert alongside the search results, when somebody types in a keyword or phrase. The cost of this varies with the keyword but we can work with you to arrange buying a range of these, at a price that works for you.
